Pastoral Team
Thank you  for visiting our web site and for your interest in our youth group. Today's  youth have many challenges and temptations in front of them. They are  continually encouraged to challenge authority and be their own person. Many  times parents are at a loss as to what to do and where to go next. Since God has  given the responsibility to parents to raise their children to honor the Lord,  our goal is to assist parents in producing spiritually mature youth, who become  spiritually mature adults, for the furtherance of the Gospel, and for the work  of the ministry. Our goal is not to entertain but to educate and reinforce the  work that should already be happening in the home. We cannot, nor do we desire,  to take the place of parents in training their children to serve the Lord. We  are simply a tool to assist families in working toward Christ-likeness in the  life of the teen. We have different activities every month to help in  challenging the teens with their personal walk with Christ, developing a burden  for the lost, and growing in fellowship with others. Our teaching and preaching  are centered on pointing teens to the sufficiency of the Word of God for every  need in their lives. We would like to invite you to come and join us as together  we work in pointing teens to Christ and encouraging them to follow the Lord.  Again, thank you for your time and consideration.

Thank you for taking time to visit our web site and having concern about our music ministry. Here at Maranatha Baptist Church, our music is wholly devoted to pleasing God. We do not use Christian contemporary rock music, Christian rap, or any other music that borrows its sounds from the world. We use music that is conservative in sound, and words that honor our Lord and Savior. We also use a hymnal to sing from and are not stuck to just words on a screen.

Maranatha Baptist Church holds fast to a biblical standard for our music in that:
  • First of all, all music is to glorify God and Him only (I Corinthians 10:31).
  • Secondly, music is to be as far and different from the world as possible (I John 3:15-17; II Corinthians 6:14-18).
  • Finally, music should have variety (Colossians 3:16-17).

We are not dedicated or sold out to one publisher, organization, or author, understanding that there is new music that is being produced today that does not have a worldly sound, but is written by those whose lives are motivated to please God and His holiness.

I would personally like to invite you to our services to hear the songs of Zion sung with vigor and life as we are excited about what Jesus has done for us.  May the Lord bless you as you serve Him.
